HOUSE IN OCUILAN

Ocuilan, Mexico
2021

The project forms part of the housing reconstruction program developed in response to the 2017 earthquake in Mexico and proposes a family house organized around a central space that accommodates the living and dining areas.

From this core, the bedrooms are distributed peripherally, establishing a clear spatial organization that supports family life and strengthens the relationship between domestic spaces.

The construction faced the challenge of being carried out with a limited number of earth blocks manufactured on site, which were cut in half to optimize the use of the material. This operation not only increased its constructive efficiency, but also defined a distinctive façade texture, where the construction process becomes an architectural expression.
