ISRAEL ÁLVAREZ

Architect with honours by the National Autonomous University of Mexico since 2002. For many years, he has collaborated with many of the most recognized architecture offices in Mexico in a wide range of projects of different scales and typologies. In 2007 he collaborated as architect in the Pritzker Prize awarded office Herzog & de Meuron in the city of Basel, Switzerland, working on multiple projects including the Tate Modern extension and the new building for the Art Basel fair, among others. In 2010 he won the competition for the Mexican Pavilion in Shanghai Expo 2010. He was awarded with the Silver Medal and an Honourable Mention in the First Architecture Biennale of Mexico City. He was invited by Harvard Graduate School of Design to give a lecture on “Landscape as Urbanism in the Americas” in 2017. He was part of a collaborative exhibition in the Chicago Architecture Biennial of 2017. Since 2011 he is Professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

MARIANA TELLO

Mariana Tello is an Architect by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has studies on Design, Aesthetics and Fine Arts by the University of Buenos Aires Argentina. She has more than 15 years of working experience in Mexico and Spain, where she was in charge of the construction of the Mexican Pavilion for the Zaragoza Expo in 2008, designed by Tatiana Bilbao Studio. In 2009 she won the competition for the Mexican Pavilion in Shanghai Expo 2010. She was awarded with the Silver Medal and an Honourable Mention in the First Architecture Biennale of Mexico City. She was invited by Harvard Graduate School of Design to give a lecture on “Landscape as Urbanism in the Americas” in 2017. She was part of a collaborative exhibition in the Chicago Architecture Biennial of 2017.
