Zapote
Restaurant

Mexico City, Mexico
2013

Transformation of the ground floor of an apartment building in Roma neighborhood, to create a new restaurant that follows the “slow food” gastronomic movement, that promotes a culture of high standard food and respect for its ingredients. In the same way, the design of the restaurant starts from the idea of highlighting the nature of the materials, its simplicity and authenticity, through a wooden envelope immersed in the space, and inspired by the traditional silhouette of a house, a symbol that becomes the main design gesture, defining its character and bringing warmth to the main room.
